Who are we?
Turkey Kant Society was established on 10.01.2020 at a workshop hosted by 29 Mayıs University. This society aims to support present and future academic projects on all aspects of Kant’s philosophy, as well as gathering and disseminating information about these projects. Other aims of this society are as follows:
- To support, encourage and augment academic studies on Kant’s thought
- To bring together scholars from all stages of their careers in various academic events (local workshops, yearly conferences, panels, translation groups, summer schools etc.), and thereby, to promote interaction among Kant scholars.
- Taking initiative for the translation of Kant’s works which are not yet translated into Turkish
- To organize workshops to discuss the basic concepts of Kant’s philosophy and to translate Kantian terminology appropriately into Turkish, and later, to present the results of those discussions to our members.
